Call for Food and Financial Support:

National State of Disaster Response to Floods across South Africa

FoodForward SA’s Managing Director, Andy Du Plessis, is calling on government, supply chain partners, the business sector and South Africans at large, to assist in our response to provide food support to displaced and vulnerable people in communities impacted by the devasting floods.

FoodForward SA’s response is two-fold:

The worst affected provinces are EC/ KZN / Mpumalanga where our response efforts will be directed. We will supply food parcels to families identified by our beneficiary organisations and provide additional food support, hygiene products, water, and bulk cooking utensils to our beneficiary organisations that prepare food for people who have found shelter at schools and community halls.

Donate here or view our list of non-perishable food items and toiletries that you can donate at any of our warehouses.

President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a national state of disaster, following the widespread flooding throughout South Africa. “We are mounting a response to support affected communities,” says Du Plessis.
