DONATE
FOOD
Donating food that has lost its commercial value but is still perfectly fit for human consumption benefits everyone, including our fragile planet.
At FoodForward SA we work with a range of supply chain partners such as farmers, manufacturers, retailers, restaurants etc. to timeously recover good quality, edible surplus food for redistribution to a network of 2,500 verified non-profit organisations offering services that focus on educational, healthcare, skills development for youth, vulnerable women and children, the aged etc.
We are set up to receive bulk volumes of fresh, frozen, chilled and ambient products. The aim of our cost-effective model is to provide a solution to our food value chain partners, so that their food loss and waste volumes are reduced, along with their carbon footprint, while helping to address food insecurity and malnutrition at scale.
Why Donate Surplus Food
1. To offset costs by receiving tax certificates for donations
2. To reducing waste disposal and reverse logistics costs
3. To reduce the impact on the environment and mitigate climate change
4. To improve ESG profile
5. To be a good corporate citizen and do the right thing
