“Employee health and wellness has never been more important and that’s why we’re encouraging our associates around the world to get out, get active, and give back with Move for Good, PepsiCo’s annual healthy living challenge in partnership with the PepsiCo Foundation.” – C. D. Glin, President PepsiCo Foundation and Global Head of Philanthropy at PepsiCo Inc.
Employee Wellness
PepsiCo employees from around the world are encouraged to participate in a global six-week movement challenge, where each step contributes towards a donation to hunger relief non-profit organisations. FoodForward SA is incredibly excited to be a beneficiary of the Move for Good campaign this year.
In the spirit of this year’s challenge, we had the privilege of hosting a global delegation from PepsiCo, that included Total Rewards Senior Vice President, Duncan Micallef, Vice President Total Rewards, Dina Kadry, and Senior Vice President HR in South Africa, Annalize van der Waal. During their visit, the team also volunteered their time to help us sort and pack food parcels for our newly launched Mother and Child Nutrition Programme.
Tackling Food Insecurity One Step at a Time
The Move to Give campaign gives added impetus to PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation’s ambitions to address global food insecurity through collaboration, which includes providing support for FoodForward SA during the Covid-19 pandemic to deliver nutritious meals during the devastating lockdown period.
FoodForward SA is also a logistics partner of the Pioneer Food School Breakfast Nutrition Program, which provides a nutritious start to the day for 35,000 schoolchildren.
