Alpen Food Co. donated 18 pallets of Nutrific Wholewheat Cereal to FoodForward SA, which will provide over 93,000 breakfasts to people in need. The donation is a testament to the company’s commitment to supporting communities in need and promoting healthy lifestyles.
“Alpen Food’s continued support not only reduces food loss and waste which is harmful for our environment, but it also enables us to support a variety of local beneficiary organisations that work with, among others, vulnerable children and the elderly. The balanced breakfast Nutrific offers these beneficiaries, contributes to their participation in the various social development programmes that our network of non-profit beneficiary organisations offers, and ultimately helps to bring about change in the lives of people across South Africa,” says FoodForward SA MD, Andy Du Plessis.
FFSA believes that food is a catalyst for development, and through its efforts, it aims to promote sustainable livelihoods and reduce hunger and malnutrition in the country. “We are thrilled to make our largest single donation to FFSA to date,” said Alasdair Musselwhite, CEO of Alpen Food Co.
“We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and we are proud to support FFSA’s mission to reduce hunger and promote sustainable livelihoods in South Africa. Nutrific Wholewheat Cereal Biscuits are a delicious and healthy breakfast option, and we hope that this donation will make a positive impact on the lives of those who need it most.”
Thank you, to the Alpen Foods team, for volunteering your time to help us serve breakfast at O.W.L Haven Shelter.
