Maserati MSG Racing Team Volunteers at our Cape Town Warehouse

On 21 February, we had the honour of hosting Maserati MSG Racing’s Team Principal James Rossiter, their drivers Maximilian Günther and Edoardo Mortara and other members of their team. They volunteered their time to help us pack and distribute quality surplus food to two of our beneficiary organisations, DbF Foundation and Jabulani Community Organisation, before participating in the Cape Town Eprix on 25 February.

The team’s involvement in this charitable effort was facilitated by the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa (PCMFSA). “With the Maserati MSG Racing team’s home base in Monaco, it was a special opportunity to showcase FoodForward SA to the people of Monaco as one of the key recipients of PCMFSA’s #feed2gether project,” says Chantell Wittstock, CEO of the PCMFSA.

Their presence and willingness to roll up their sleeves and help out were a welcome boost, sparking joy and excitement among the FoodForward SA team and our beneficiary organisations. We also got the opportunity to meet South African rugby legend Percy Montgomery, who is an ambassador of PCMFSA!

Thank you, Maserati MSG Racing, and everyone involved in making this visit possible, for helping us raise awareness of the importance of redirecting surplus food to those in need.
