From 11 October to 22 November 2022, Discovery offered Vitality members some food for thought and an opportunity to help support FoodForward SA’s food security efforts. Through their MoveToGive campaign, Discovery invited Vitality members to make a difference and use their healthy steps, good driving behaviour and responsible spending to help redirect surplus food to feed communities in need.
We are so grateful to Discovery Vitality, who once again gave their members the opportunity to select FoodForward SA as a beneficiary of their Discovery Miles. As a result of the month-long campaign, we were able to donate surplus food equivalent to 123,500 meals to our beneficiary organisations that work with orphaned and vulnerable children, people seeking refuge in shelters and those who receive support from disability and HIV care centres.
Vitality’s partnership with FoodForward SA spans several years, with over 1 million meals being distributed thus far.
