Ladies of Hope is a non-profit organization located in Ennerdale, Gauteng. Their mission is to provide home-based care to patients and professional nursing care to the elderly and frail. They also provide counselling, life orientation and feeding programmes to the community at large.
Established by the Founder and Director Myrtle Williams in the early 2000’s, Ladies of Hope started as a small group of ladies who went around from house to house in the community of Ennerdale providing support to the sick and the elderly.
In a recent visit to the Ladies of Hope facility, we joined the cooks that were preparing lunch for the day and met a couple of the patients receiving care from the on-site nurses. We also met a few ladies that are attending their three-month safe haven programme for abused women. The partnership with FoodForward SA ensures their patients and programme attendees are provided with regular, nutritious meals, which is so important for improving well-being and quality of life.
💚 Thank you to the team at Ladies of Hope for being a beacon of hope for your community.
