Due to our rapid scaling, since the start of hard lockdown, our Johannesburg branch, based in Germiston, now serves 302 registered beneficiary organisations, enabling us to reach approximately 150,000 vulnerable people throughout Gauteng. This is an increase of 50%, compared to last year this time.
As a consequence of this rapid growth, our Johannesburg branch has become too small to serve the rising numbers of beneficiaries.
We have been engaging with Fortress REIT Limited, one of our existing donors, and are delighted to announce that we have concluded a lease which will see our Johannesburg branch move to new premises in Isando Business Park, at a significantly reduced rental. The new warehouse is 1,458 m2, compared to the old warehouse’s 445 m2 .
