Quantum Foods is also deeply concerned about the lack of access to food for the poor, and for this reason, has decided to partner with FoodForward SA. Their recent donation of R800,000 which is equivalent to 1,012,658 million meals, will allow for FoodForward SA to unlock several more food sourcing opportunities, provide vulnerable people with greater access to food, and help us further develop FoodShare – our digital solution linking beneficiary organisations to stores for the regular collection of surplus food.
More than 14 million South Africans go hungry every day. FoodForward SA is on a journey to use surplus food to not only feed people, but also to use this food to act as a catalyst that unlocks social enterprise initiatives, economic opportunities, and skills development for vulnerable people.
With Quantum Foods partnership, FoodForward SA can continue with this important work that will bring about meaningful change at scale.
