Following the success of the Good Food and Wine show held in Cape Town in May, Africa’s largest culinary event will be coming to Johannesburg at the Ticketpro Dome from 29 to 31 July 2016.
The ‘Fresh’ themed event showcases all things environmentally friendly and according to event organisers, Fiera Milano Exhibitions Africa, it’s all about the global obsession with sustainability and a healthier planet.
Visitors to the show can expect loads of fun and interesting things to see and do, like wine and beer tasting and sampling market and street food to experiencing all things gourmet, baking, lifestyle and wellness.
Headline chefs include George Calombaris, Matt Moran, Neill Anthony, Sarah Graham and FoodBank SA patrons, Jenny Morris, J’Something and Siba Mtongana.
Our stand at the Cape Town show attracted hundreds of visitors and raised R22 500 in donations, which facilitated the provision of 20 833 meals for food-insecure South Africans in need of sustenance.
With the Johannesburg leg of the Good Food and Wine Show just around the corner, we’re hoping to attract even more people to our stand, not only to raise much needed funds, but also to create awareness about the work that we do.
Patrons will also be auctioning items such as signed chef’s jackets at the Celebrity Chefs Open Theatre in support of FoodBank SA initiatives.
